The firm’s Career Path program provides a path of development and promotes challenging relationships for paralegals and clerks from entry-level through the senior positions. The most junior positions are typically for those individuals without benefit of prior legal experience who possesses, or are attaining, the educational requirements for advancement and who are committed to training under the guidance of experienced paralegals. As the Career Path develops, assignments become more varied and more complex in character with extensive individual responsibility. Client and third-party involvement becomes significantly greater; oral and written communication skills become even more important. Individuals at the most senior level possess clearly developed, well-recognized expertise in at least one area of the firm's legal practice.
Depending upon an individual’s position within the firm, K&L Gates provides growth and learning opportunities through both internal and external training. Our aim is for staff to succeed and grow as individuals alongside the firm's growth.
