The Queensland Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017, commencing on 16 April 2018, has a broad application that extends far beyond the common understanding of 'labour hire'. Many businesses who structure their employment arrangements through corporate groupings or service companies may be captured by the legislation even if they do not engage in labour hire arrangements in the traditional sense.
Large organisations, professional service firms and even organisations that utilise secondments may now be required to hold a labour hire license.
Please join Paul Hardman and Alanna Fitzpatrick as they discuss the new licensing requirements and the steps you can take to ensure your organisation isn't caught out.
