K&L Gates Honored by Islamic Finance News with Qatari Deal of the Year Award

Doha - Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has received a 2018 Deal of the Year - Qatar recognition from Islamic Finance News (IFN) for the firm’s work representing Al Rayan Investment LLC (the investment subsidiary of Qatari bank Masraf Al Rayan) on the listing of the world’s largest Sharia’h-compliant single-country exchange traded fund (ETF). The honor follows a previous award from IFN on the same matter, with K&L Gates having been selected Best Firm for Asset Management & Funds in the October 2018 IFN Law Awards.

The K&L Gates team that advised on the matter was led by Doha partner Amjad Hussain and included Washington, D.C., partner Stacey Fuller and Doha senior associate Jaime Oon.
