- Global law firm K&L Gates LLP
has added Goodarz (Goody) T. Agahi as a corporate
partner in both the firm’s Orange County and Los Angeles offices. He joins K&L Gates from Baker & Hostetler LLP.
Agahi advises clients in a wide variety of industries, including consumer products, apparel, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, software, and technology, on complex business transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, restructurings, recapitalizations, and financings. He also has experience counseling corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies on a broad range of tax issues.
“We are very excited to welcome a lawyer of Goody’s caliber to the Orange County and Los Angeles offices,” said Michael Hedge, managing partner of K&L Gates’ Orange County office. “His extensive experience is a valuable addition to the firm’s global footprint.”
Agahi’s arrival follows the recent addition of corporate partner Dale Araki
to K&L Gates’ Tokyo office earlier this month.
K&L Gates’ corporate/M&A practice is one of the most substantial in the legal industry, with more than 500 lawyers in offices on five continents assisting clients in the structuring, financing, and completion of domestic, international, and cross-border transactions.
