Paris - The Paris office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Raphaël Bloch as a partner in its corporate/M&A practice. He joins K&L Gates from Allen & Overy LLP.
Bloch focuses his practice on corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint-ventures, investments, and divestments. He advises French and international companies and investors on local and cross-border transactions across a wide range of industries and has significant experience advising banks and fintechs as well as media/entertainment, gaming, music, and technology companies.
“We are excited to welcome Raphaël to the Paris office,” said Louis Degos, managing partner of K&L Gates’ Paris office. “His extensive international experience in corporate transactions serves as a valuable addition to both our firmwide practice and our growing Paris office.”
Bloch’s arrival follows the additions of corporate partners Harry Kingsley (Melbourne), Christopher Bellavia (Seattle), Jason Murray (Miami), and Steven Olenick (New York) this year, as well as a number of other new partners and of counsel to K&L Gates during the first three months of 2020, including in the firm’s Seattle, New York, San Francisco, and Miami offices across practices such as health care, environment, land and natural resources, asset management and investment funds, and government contracts.
K&L Gates’ corporate/M&A practice is one of the most substantial in the legal industry, with more than 500 lawyers in offices on five continents assisting clients in the structuring, financing, and completion of domestic, international, and cross-border transactions. The group serves as counsel to a broad array of Global 500, Fortune 100, FTSE 100 corporations, privately held and venture-backed companies, partnerships, private equity firms and other investment funds, management groups, and entrepreneurs. Recently, the practice helped to earn K&L Gates the distinction of corporate “Law Firm of the Year” in U.S. News-Best Lawyers’ annual “Best Law Firms” report and recognition from Forbes as one of America’s top corporate law firms.
