- Global law firm K&L Gates LLP
welcomes Bart Turner as a partner in its construction and infrastructure
practice. He joins the firm from Andrews Myers, P.C.
Turner advises owners and contractors on construction-related matters including complex engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) transactions, front-end engineering design (FEED) and pre-FEED transactions, construction-related change orders and claims resolution, project risk management, lien and bond claims, insurance, and workouts. He has extensive experience drafting, negotiating, and evaluating risk in EPC management contracts, as well as counseling corporate executives in the hydrocarbons, industrial, and power sectors.
Previously, Turner spent eight years as vice president of KBR, Inc.’s legal department, most recently handling legal matters for the company’s engineering and construction in the Americas after overseeing its hydrocarbons projects around the world, including several major Australian liquefied natural gas projects, for nearly five of those years. He served with KBR for 17 years.
“Bart is a seasoned veteran and his addition is a huge boost to our global energy and construction practice,” said Michael T. Murphy, managing partner of K&L Gates’ Houston office. “We are very excited to have him on board.”
Turner’s arrival follows the addition of construction partner Simon Ashworth
to K&L Gates’ Sydney office earlier this year.
