John E. Susoreny

John Susoreny is a member of the firm's antitrust, competition & trade regulation practice group. He focuses on complex civil litigation with a focus on antitrust, cartel and trade regulation and has experience with antitrust disputes and investigations arising in a number of industries, including pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, paper and food products. He has experience in counseling clients on antitrust compliance policies and has performed antitrust compliance audits to assess and improve clients' compliance with antitrust laws. He has extensive experience representing clients in  price discrimination, price fixing, market manipulation, bid-rigging, patent licensing, merger, and other restraints of trade and regulatory matters.

In addition, John has considerable experience negotiating and drafting product distribution agreements in various industries. He counsels clients on franchising and distribution matters and on the application of various state and federal laws governing the distribution of products.

John also has extensive experience in providing pro bono legal services, including successfully representing several individuals seeking political asylum in the United States.

In 2016, the K&L Gates Chicago antitrust and competition group was recognized as the “Cartel & Trade Regulation Law Firm of the Year in Illinois” by the international review and assessment programs of both Corporate INTL Magazine and Global Law Experts.

Prior to law school, John worked as a commercial real estate broker and real estate analyst.  He has experience with mergers, acquisitions and portfolio management for domestic and international companies.
