Our Dubai office, located within the Dubai International Financial Centre, supports clients doing business in both the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The UAE’s location relative to Europe, Africa and Asia underscores the strength of its international trading relationships. The UAE’s continued commitment to infrastructure development and its position within the financial services sector makes it an important location for K&L Gates. In addition, with its business-friendly approach and excellent transportation and infrastructure, Dubai is a natural hub for us in the MENA region, where we expect to see continued development and growth.
The Dubai office’s practice focuses are dispute resolution (including arbitration), insurance coverage, corporate matters (including mergers and acquisitions and private equity), capital markets, investment funds and financial services regulatory advice, banking and finance, real estate and employment. The office works closely with our firmwide Islamic finance and investment group. Our Dubai lawyers also provide advice on UAE law and practice. With increasing frequency, we are providing advice in relation to FCPA matters, as well as the U.K. Bribery Act. The Dubai office has a team of partners and associates with substantial domestic, regional and international experience across all these practice areas.
