Mr. Walker is a partner in the firm’s Charlotte office. He focuses his practice on environmental and regulatory matters, including environmental remediation, enforcement defense, chemical regulation, solid and hazardous waste, environmental permitting, environmental insurance, aboveground and underground storage tanks, and brownfields redevelopment. His work includes advising clients regarding various state and federal environmental laws, including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Mr. Walker spends a majority of his time advising clients regarding the purchase, sale, redevelopment, and financing of contaminated properties or businesses with environmental concerns in complex business transactions. He also advises clients on environmental due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and works closely with the firm’s real estate, land use and zoning, corporate, and litigation practices.

Mr. Walker is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED-AP), a distinction he earned through the Green Building Certification Institute. As a LEED-AP, he has demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles, as well as the LEED Rating System.
